Ava Johanna Is Teaching People About Meditation and Breathing After Using it Throughout Her Entire Life. Find Out More About Her Story Below

Many people are learning about meditation as an at home to help them relax. Whether it is for their health or to create more mindfulness in life, meditation has been adapted to help meet the challenges of many different circumstances.

Ava Johanna is teaching people how to be experts in meditation. Whether they are coaches, entrepreneurs, or some other profession, with her, you are able to learn the ins and outs of meditation techniques.

“My business, Ava Johanna LLC is the parent company of The Academy of Breath, an 8-week breathwork and meditation certification for entrepreneurs, coaches, healers, and alternative health practitioners looking to extend their core offering with breathwork and meditation modalities for greater mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health. We also equip our students with business strategy and resources so they can take their education around mindfulness, meditation and breathwork and build a sustainable online wellness business,” Ava explains.

Ava first found herself learning and participating in meditation during a very hard moment in her life. When she was young, her family was not rich and they were being evicted from their home, put on food stamps, and were. For Ava, and for many other people who have to live through these circumstances, the situation was incredibly taxing to say the least.

Thankfully, she was able to rebound from that moment and get a corporate job. However, this came with its own problems including difficult mental stress on her day to day life. Ava had a friend who supported her on her journey and showed her the power of meditation.

“Luckily, a friend pulled me to a yoga class and it was the first time I felt peace and a sense of fulfillment in my life. I dove head first into yoga, meditation and breathwork and realized that these practices were not just a “nice to have” for any humans, but needed to be non-negotiable, especially for those of us that have grown up being fed a culture of non-stop working, grinding and hustle culture. After various training sessions and thousands of hours teaching in groups and one on one settings, I created The Academy of Breath, which teaches breathwork and meditation as an everyday practice for deeper connection, presence, inner peace, joy and optimal physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health,” Ava says.

Ava’s business, unlike many others in the meditation space, focuses on balancing both the science and the spiritual relationships of meditation. This allows her students to get a deeper understanding and create a real relationship with meditation and breathwork.

“Most breathwork and meditation programs and offerings either lean toward only science or only spirituality. We aim to bridge the gap, honor the East Asian cultures that cultivated these practices and also work with research to effectively communicate what’s happening in the body and brain when consistently practicing. When I created The Academy of Breath, I did so knowing that there was nothing like it that taught both breath and meditation and both science and spirituality. We are one of a kind,” Ava states.

This year, Ava is excited to continue growing her business as more and more students look to her academy to teach them these mindful practices. To see how you can get involved, follow Ava on instagram here and check out her website here.
